St. Athanasius’ Church 1857 - 2007.
Our Parish Church Building is 150 years old this year.
We held a Mass of Thanksgiving to celebrate this on the feast of St. Athanasius on May 2nd. Bishop Devine was the main Celebrant and we were happy to welcome back Fr. Sean O’Shea who was the first Assistant Priest here as well as Fr. Richard Rodgers who had also served here as an Assistant Priest and other Priests of the Diocese.
The Banner Group completed our first Parish Banner which is now in the Church for all to see and is a fitting tribute to our Patron.
Although the hall is nearing completion we still have to raise funds to meet the costs involved therefore if you have any ideas or would like to help the Committee please speak to Father Naughton or any of the Committee.
